Octopus will be making its presence felt at the ‘Big Bash’ Energy Forum. It’s hosted by the Major Energy User’s Council (MEUC), and is taking place on 6-7 March, 2018.
MEUC does a great job of keeping its members up to date on the energy and water markets. It offers them advice on buying and managing their organisations’ energy and water supply, and providing them with insights and feedback on future policy initiatives around energy.
What’s the Big Bash?
The Big Bash is an annual conference that gives energy users, industry specialists and commentators the opportunity to come together with the membership to debate the key issues facing the energy industry in the UK and beyond. We’re delighted that this year Octopus will be participating, with a stand and taking part in several key debates.
This year’s event is all about ‘Responding to New Market’. Speakers will be discussing rapidly changing energy markets, stubbornly-high power prices and the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy solutions. So, it’s no surprise that Octopus will be in attendance. It’s our aim to support the transition to a clean and smart energy future.
We love talking about renewable energy

During this year’s event our team of attendees and presenters will be talking specifically about:

- ‘Next generation’ technology: Our partnership with Reactive Technology has created a smart energy platform to manage on-site energy demand, generation, storage and green energy supply from the Grid. It’s a great way for companies to manage their energy usage and get more flexibility.
- Clean ‘Transport as a Service’ (TaaS): We offer companies a bespoke service that solve their transport and fleet issues by offering the provision of electric vehicles, depot infrastructure and network capacity upgrades – all as a ‘pay per mile’ service.
