With close to 8 million retail customers, award-winning customer service, and over 54 million accounts powered by its technology platform Kraken, Octopus Energy Group is well on its way to achieving its vision of an affordable green energy revolution. While we no longer own Octopus Energy, we’re proud to be its largest external shareholder.

Octopus Energy Generation
In 2021, we sold Octopus Renewables, our renewable energy generation business to Octopus Energy Group. Now operating as Octopus Energy Generation, the company manages one of the largest portfolios of solar and wind assets in Europe. It generates the equivalent energy consumption of around 1.2 million homes.
