The team

You will be part of an Investment team of 8 within a larger debt team of 50+ professionals. The Investment Associate will assist senior members of the Investment Team in originating and executing lending opportunities secured against commercial, investment, and development real estate assets across the UK.

What will you be doing?

  • Support Origination & Execution
    • Assist senior team members in identifying, sourcing, and structuring lending opportunities.
  • Underwriting & Analysis
    • Perform detailed financial modelling and risk analysis for loan opportunities.
    • Assist in drafting credit papers and preparing presentations for the Credit Committee.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support decision-making.
  • Team Collaboration & Networking
    • Work collaboratively with the broader investment and debt teams to achieve common goals.
    • Actively engage with industry professionals at events and meetings to expand the firm's network.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • 1–3 years of post-qualified experience (PQE) within real estate, debt, or finance sectors.
  • Understanding of the UK real estate market, including commercial, investment, and development assets.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate complex financial information.
  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a related field such as finance, economics, or real estate.
  • RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation is preferred but not essential.
