The team
You be part of the Octopus Real Estate team playing a critical role in supporting the Real Estate Debt team by maintaining and updating fund models, analysing investment opportunities, and contributing to the effective management of the portfolio.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, valuation analysis, and ad hoc support for the investment team. They will have prior experience in real estate finance, outstanding financial modelling skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Fund & Financial Modelling
- Maintain and update fund models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the latest portfolio data.
- Conduct scenario testing for non-performing loans in collaboration with the portfolio management team.
- Assist with proprietary valuation work for investments and provide deal analysis to support new transactions.
- Maintain and refine loan viability models to assess financial health and risk exposure.
· Reporting & Investor Relations
- Provide regular financial updates to investors, including quarterly and bi-annual reporting.
- Work closely with the fund accounting team to deliver high-quality, timely reports.
- Liaise with the fund administrator to support periodic reporting and ensure compliance.
- Respond to ad hoc investor requests with precision and professionalism.
· Operational Support
- Assist with annual budgeting for the debt team, aligning forecasts with strategic goals.
- Support the investment team by delivering detailed financial analysis and modelling for prospective and existing investments.
Qualifications
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or AFA (Associate Financial Analyst) designation is required.
- Outstanding financial modelling skills with a proven ability to handle complex analyses.
- Prior experience in real estate finance is essential.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes and fund management operations.
