About the Role

Marketing team:

🎉The marketing and communications function have three parts, two audience centric marketing teams and a centre of expertise. This role sits within the 5 strong digital marketing team within the centre of expertise. The centre of expertise consists of digital, content, events, design and comms capability.

You will be working across all Octopus businesses apart from Octopus Energy, Octopus Moneycoach, Octopus Wealth and Seccl by Octopus.

Role purpose

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to assist with implementing and managing the overall digital marketing strategy. The role is responsible for executing our email strategy, owning the digital strategy for individual campaigns and maintaining our websites.

What the job involves

  • Day-to-day planning and execution of email marketing strategy
  • Build, manage and automate email lifecycle campaigns
  • Strong understanding of email marketing , A/B testing, and performance optimisation.
  • Analyse and report on email campaign performance ensuring campaigns meet objectives and look to raise the bar for email engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other stakeholders in and outside the marketing team such as design, content, technology and business stakeholders.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns across different digital channels to drive brand awareness, engagement and lead generation while working closely with campaign managers
  • Manage digital workboard on to ensure stakeholders are up to date on digital projects
  • Stay current with digital best practice and latest technologies


  • Creative individual, driven and passionate about creating impactful customer experiences, creating insights from data and marketing automation
  • Proficiency with marketing platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or Hubspot
  • Experience with creating and reporting on complete email marketing campaigns
  • Experience managing website content (ideally Wordpress)Positive and resilient mindset, willing to test out new ways of working
  • Strong attention to detail
