Job Description

About the Role

  • Oversee financial management of several infrastructure funds: Responsibility for the financial oversight and strategic management of multiple infrastructure funds, ensuring optimal fund performance, risk management, and adherence to financial objectives.
  • Prepare Fund Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports for each fund, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage the Funds' Tax Reporting: Oversee and manage the tax reporting process for the funds, ensuring accurate and timely filings, compliance with tax laws, and optimisation of tax strategies.
  • Quarterly Reporting: Coordinate and produce quarterly reports for investors and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, financial results, and any significant developments within the funds.
  • Unit Price Review: Regularly review and calculate the unit price for each fund, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the pricing process while reflecting the true value of the underlying assets.
  • Manage Annual Audit Process: Lead and manage the annual audit process for the funds, working closely with external auditors to ensure all financial records are accurate and comply with relevant auditing standards.
  • Compliance Reporting, including GS007: Ensure all compliance reporting requirements are met, including adhering to regulatory standards such as GS007, and managing internal processes to ensure consistent compliance across the funds.
  • Distribution Calculation: Oversee the accurate calculation of distributions to investors, ensuring they are in line with the fund's distribution policies and performance, and that all distributions are made promptly and accurately.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have some or all of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • 3-5 years of funds management experience: A proven track record with 3 to 5 years of experience in funds management, with a strong understanding of investment strategies, fund performance analysis, and financial management practices.
  • CA / CPA qualification required: A professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is mandatory.
  • Understanding of the Funds Management industry essential: A deep understanding of the funds management industry, including its operational, financial, and regulatory frameworks, is essential.
  • Hands-on Financial & Tax Reporting Knowledge: Strong, hands-on experience in preparing and managing both financial and tax reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience Handling Month-End and Year-End Reporting: Proven ability to manage and oversee month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial statements and other key reports.
  • Experience in Preparing Financial Statements: Demonstrated experience in preparing comprehensive and accurate financial statements for funds, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Experience in Completing Tax Returns: Strong experience in completing tax returns for funds, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with tax laws, and optimising tax strategies where possible.
