About the Role

What’s in it for you?

In this role you’ll take a lead on strategic initiatives, managing complex deals and structures, and delivering a variety of key internal and external projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to support and enable the growth and success of Octopus Real Estate. It offers breadth and variety - you’ll be involved in multiple projects creating the future strategy, scoping avenues of growth and solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

The team:

Octopus Real Estate, part of the Octopus Group is a leading specialist real estate investor, with a team of circa 90 professionals. We provide award-winning finance for UK property investment and development. This role reports directly to the Managing Director of Octopus Real Estate.

What will you be doing?

  • Strategy - Getting to the heart of the business, exploring opportunities and challenges, shaping and creating future strategy.
  • Problem solving - tackling our challenges, ensuring strong governance, anticipating risk and proposing solutions.
  • Growth - supporting the research, scoping and delivery of growth opportunities, including new fund and partnership launches.
  • Supporting the investment teams with major deals and portfolio events and sitting on/chairing committees.

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have:

✅ Previous experience working within professional services (legal, accounting, corporate finance)
✅ Strong transactional experience across a variety of deal and financing structures - funds, lending and joint ventures
✅ A good understanding of investment drivers, with some commercial or finance experience
✅ The ability to process complex information, identify risks and suggest suitable solutions
✅ Excellent management skills (both internal and external stakeholders) and confidence to challenge stakeholders
