Entrepreneur Awards supported by Octopus, Springboard
Our Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the fantastic entrepreneurs across the UK who have thrived during the last year, for example, by starting or growing a business, supporting their local community or adapting to become more sustainable.
The pandemic has brought out the very best from our world-leading entrepreneurs in the most challenging conditions. As we’ve all seen first-hand, in the news or on social media, businesses have found ways to start, grow, innovate and support our communities.
By giving these inspiring role models a platform, we hope to encourage others who want to start a business by showing them the possibilities are endless.
How it works
We’re asking Members of Parliament to nominate local entrepreneurs in their constituency who they feel deserve recognition.
Winners will have the unique opportunity to receive £5,000 worth of scale up advice from experts within Octopus. The winners will be invited to attend a virtual meeting with their MPs to celebrate the thriving entrepreneurial community and spirit in the UK.
This years winners will be chosen by a panel of parliamentarians and entrepreneurs. This includes Katherine Fletcher MP, who set up her own business prior to becoming an MP, Jimmy McLoughlin OBE, Presenter of Jimmy’s Jobs of the Future podcast, Karen Taylor, Founder of Parent Cloud, Seema Malhotra MP Shadow Minister for Business and Consumers, Darren Jones MP, Chair of the The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee and Octopus founder Chris Hulatt.
Nominations for the Octopus, Springboard Awards 2022 are now closed.
