Episode 7. Susie Ma
11 June 2019
Susie Ma, founder of Tropic Skincare, believes that anything is possible. Suzie started her multi-million-pound business by making beauty products in her mum’s kitchen and then selling them on a market stall at just 15 years old.
Susie went on to star in the Apprentice and, in 2018, was featured in Forbes ‘30 under 30’ list of young entrepreneurs. In her candid interview with Charlotte Pearce for ‘Humans of Business’, Susie bares all and reveals why “business should be something that you’re really and truly passionate about.”
The Tropic Skincare brand was inspired by Susie’s grandmother, a medicinal chemist and toxicologist, who taught Susie that like our bodies, our skin needs feeding with healthy, nourishing and, most importantly, natural ingredients.
Susie’s remarkable story provides motivation for any young, aspiring entrepreneur and the unique, ethical business model behind Tropic Skincare is truly inspirational.
In Susie’s own words “I’m an entrepreneur because I have a vision for the future.”
